Antaine ÓRaifteírí was the last  wandering Bard of Ireland. He followed an oral tradition and composed the finest poems and played wonderful music as he travelled the highways and byways of counties Galway and Mayo. 

Cartron House

Cartron House located in the scenic east Galway village of Ballinakill is steeped in the history of the past. Built by the Burkes of Marblehill , it still retains its splendour of original days. 

Holy Island

Inis Cealtra (Irish for Holy Island), in Lough Derg in County Clare, is one of the most famous monastic sites in Ireland. Its many attractions include a well preserved Round Tower, the ruins of six churches and a bargaining stone where marriage vows are still renewed. Pilgrims from all over the world come to visit the Monastic site on Holy Island or Inis Cealtra, in Lough Derg County Clare.

Kilmacduagh 

Kilmacduagh Monastery is a ruined abbey near the town of Gort in County Galway. It was the birthplace of the Diocese of Kilmacduagh. It was reportedly founded by the Saint Colman, son of Duagh in the 7th century . The ruins of the monastery are sometimes referred to as "the seven Churches" .
